MADE IN JAPAN
Our Production Process
From thread and textile manufacturing to sewing, all manufacturing is done in Japan.
Your Fleep products are made with great attention to detail by local, rural and highly skilled craftswomen.
Fleep products may appear simple at first sight
but they are complex works designed from scratch to be careful with sensitive skin.
Each product goes through up to 40 processes and strict quality control before reaching completion.
This means our production process takes longer than large scale brands.
For us, the priority is that each product improves a woman’s life.

step
01
Cutting
This process is normally done by machine.
At Fleep, we do our cutting using a scroll saw or by hand.
This allows us to be extra careful in the cutting process
and reduce material waste as much as possible.

02
Sewing
As the materials we use are soft and silky,
Fleep products require expert sewing skills.
Utilizing seven different types of sewing machine,
each stitch is carefully made by skilled craftswomen.

A minor misalignment in a single process can turn into a significant problem later on. We sew each stitch carefully with the whole product in mind.

We change the setting of the sewing machine depending on the number of layers of fabric, and which part we are sewing. We have an intuitive sense for what the material needs to bring out the beauty of the material itself.

Through our strict standards and rigorous inspection process
we work to earn our customers’ trust everyday.
